Dr. Ajay Virmani
Executive Chairman & Founder
As Founder of Cargojet, Dr. Virmani spearheaded the company’s creation in 2002, first purchasing fifty percent of its predecessor Canada 3000 Cargo in July of 2001. With plans in hand for the expansion of its services and a major rebranding of the company’s image, including a new name and logo, Virmani then acquired 100% of Canada 3000 Cargo in January 2002 and renamed his organization Cargojet.
Jamie B. Porteous
Co-CEO
Jamie B. Porteous is a founding member of the Cargojet team and has been with the company from Day One. Jamie also has been an integral part of Cargojet’s growth journey over the past 22 years and has been instrumental in helping grow Cargojet from a startup to the air-cargo leader. Jamie has served in many roles including Sales, Customer Relations, Commercial Strategy, Operations, Network Planning and Design, and Investor Relations, and as the Chief Strategy Officer.
Pauline Dhillon
Co-CEO
Pauline Dhillon is also a founding member of the Cargojet team and has been with the company from Day One. Pauline has been an integral part of Cargojet’s growth journey over the past 22 years and during this period, she has led several functions with increasing responsibility including Marketing, Brand, Government Relations, Human Resources, Legal, Facilities, Operational Efficiency and Commercial operations, which led to her previous role as Chief Corporate Officer. Pauline currently oversees all aspects of support functions as well as ground operations globally.
Scott Calver
Chief Financial Officer
Scott Calver has over 17 years experience in Transportation and Logistics with organizations that are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. He started his career in Transportation with ICS Courier and prior to joining Cargojet in 2022, he was the CFO for Trimac Transportation. Before a career in Transportation and Logistics, Mr. Calver had various Financial roles for companies in Ontario’s manufacturing sector.
Gord Johnston
Executive Vice President, Strategic Partnerships Sales
Over 30 years of commercial aviation industry experience predominately in senior cargo sales and operational roles at American Airlines Cargo and Air Canada Cargo prior to joining Cargojet in 2005. Mr. Johnston is primarily responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with all Strategic Partnerships within Cargojet’s portfolio while focusing on strategic business development opportunities.
Leo Cordeiro
Senior Vice President, Maintenance and Engineering
Leo Cordeiro joined Cargojet as Vice President, Line Maintenance in 2019 leading the team through fleet growth and network expansion while maintaining our industry leading technical dispatch performance. He has over 35 years’ experience in the aviation sector, including 30 years with Air Canada and Air Canada Express. A certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), he has a Masters Certificate in Supply Chain and Logistics Management from York University’s Schulich School of Business and is a Six Sigma Black Belt and instructor. He has extensive experience in the design and implementation of productivity and process improvement programs, including maintenance planning, compliance, and safety.
